On June 14th, 2023, the Cardiology Society of India (CSI) and Vigocare rallied together to orchestrate a public awareness event at Kondapur’s Botanical Garden in Hyderabad. This meaningful gathering was aimed at bringing cardiac rhythm disorders to light, with an emphasis on the crucial role of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in emergencies. Sri Arekapudi Gandhi Garu, MLA from Serilingampally, Hyderabad, graced the event, reinforcing the significance of such health-awareness initiatives.
The event kicked off with a powerful inauguration speech by Sri Arekapudi Gandhi Garu, underlining the importance of cardiac health awareness. Following this, Dr. Ramachandra, a distinguished Senior Consultant Cardiologist and President of CSI Telangana, captivated the audience with his insightful talk on arrhythmias. His stress on the vital role of early diagnosis resonated with the audience, underlining the criticality of time in managing these disorders.
The event also saw CSI Telangana donating four AEDs, a testament to their commitment towards enhancing cardiac care. Furthermore, attendees were trained on how to operate these devices, a skill that could be life-saving in critical situations.
